FICTION BUILT ON REAL HISTORY
FOUR NOVELS OUT OF THE SOVIET RECORD, WITH THE RESEARCH ATTACHED

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Four novels that start in documented history: a
computer that counted in three states, a shortwave signal that has never
explained itself, a space programme with pages missing, and a Moldovan
hospital built over the fringe science of the 1920s. The archives kept the
dates and the machines. They did not keep the desire, the blackmail or the
marriages that ran on silence. The novels do.

Elara S. Novikova took a degree in computer science in Naryn, an M.Sc. in
Symbolic Systems in California, and is finishing a doctorate in Bishkek on
how authoritarian states manage science. She researches each book the way
she researches the dissertation, then publishes the research openly.

Every novel comes with a free companion archive: no registration, no age
gate, no fiction. Interactive timelines, dossiers on the real people, the
machines and the places, maps, and a quiz. Across the four archives there
are 1,143 dated events, 71 biographical dossiers, 73 machines and systems,
and 480 verified sources. Every event carries its date, every claim its
source, and the points where the sources disagree are marked as such.

The four archives share one body of evidence. Sergei Korolev turns up in
three of them, as prisoner, as Chief Designer and as a man teaching a
seminar. The security service changes its name from NKVD to KGB to SVR and
keeps the same address. The primate station at Sukhumi that anchors
IVANOV'S GHOST later supplied the rhesus passengers of the Bion flights in
SECRET DAWN. Each of those crossings is documented history.
